Kellie Mitchell

My name is Kellie Mitchell, and I first met Terry in December of 2002.  When I sat down with him and announced, "I want to complete a triathlon," he smiled and his whole face lit up with enthusiasm. He has remained enthusiastic and supportive throughout our seven months of training.

He has taught me about the "discipline of training" and the rewards gained through perseverance and dedication.  His extensive knowledge of and loyalty to health and fitness are contagious, and his teaching has influenced all aspects of my life.

Because of Terry, I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my 37 years.  He has helped me to reach goals I never imagined possible.

His words "Courage is putting fear aside to get the job done" echo in my head each time I jump in the water, run on a hot day, and bike when my legs are screaming for mercy.

He has been in my corner from the moment we first met, and I can never repay him for all he has taught me.  As a trainer, Terry is devoted far beyond the call of duty, and he is relentless in helping people achieve their goals.

He is a diamond in the rough and a gift to those of us in need of direction in our lives.

Kellie competed in the Danskin Triathlon on July 27, 2003; Kellie's time was 1:34:44; Kellie's goal was to complete this in 1:35:00
